Héctor García

Héctor García (born 1981) is a Spanish author and engineer who has lived in Japan for over a decade. Francesc Miralles (born 1968) is a Spanish journalist, novelist, and musician specializing in self-help and spirituality. Together, they traveled to Ogimi, a village in Okinawa, Japan, known for having the highest concentration of centenarians in the world, to research the Japanese concept of Ikigai. Their book, Ikigai, is a global phenomenon that distills the wisdom of the world's longest-living people into a practical guide for finding purpose and joy.
